Seven Seas Entertainment has announced the license acquisition of three new manga series to its growing catalog. The new licenses include A Story of Seven Lives, The Great Snake’s Bride, and Last Game. 

All titles will be released in 2023 respectively and will be available in both print and digital platforms. Here are the full details for each new manga release: 

The first new license is Gin Shirakawa’s cat themed manga A Story of Seven Lives. It’s described as a moving tale of stray cats and the humans who care for them. The series was serialized in Kadokawa’s Comic It website and app from February 15, 2018 to April 24, 2019. Three tankoubon volumes have been released in total. 

All three volumes will be published as one oversized omnibus set for release in May 2023. It will be available on both print and digital formats as a single large-trim edition. 

Seven Seas describes the synopsis as: 

On the mean streets of Tokyo, countless stray cats scrounge and struggle to survive. Nanao is one of them: he used to be a house cat, but after tragedy struck he had to make it on his own, relying only on fellow stray cat Machi for help. When some people start feeding the strays in their neighborhood, Nanao cautiously starts to bond with them. But the humans–a brother and sister who run a bathhouse–have issues and wounds of their own. Can Nanao help them heal, and perhaps find a new home in the process? A heart-tugging tale of family and survival!

The Great Snake’s Bride by Fushiashikumo is a critically acclaimed manga about a woman sacrificed to a snake god, only to find herself in a relationship with it. It was first serialized in Kadokawa’s Comic Marche magazine on February 12, 2021 and has released three tankoubon volumes as of October 2022. 

The first volume will be released for the first time in North America in July 2023 on both print and digital platforms as single volume editions. 

The manga is described by Seven Seas as:  

For 500 years, a giant snake god has lived in the ancient mountain. Miyo, an unlucky young woman from the nearby village, has been offered as a tribute: she is to be the snake’s bride. Miyo always feared that the enormous talking snake would devour her whole, but once she’s taken in by the god, he treats her like a wife rather than a meal. His flicking tongue vibrates through gentle words, his powerful slithering body wraps around hers in an embrace. This god is kinder than his monstrous form implies, and Miyo thinks she could learn to appreciate the non-human form his love takes. What does it truly mean to be the bride of a beast…?

Shinobu Amano’s manga series Last Game follows two polar opposite students in a tale of one-sided rivalry. revenge, and romance. It was serialized in Hakusensha’s shoujo manga magazine LaLa from July 24, 2011 to June 24, 2016. The series is published under the Hana to Yume Comics imprint and has released 11 tankoubon volumes. 

The first volume of Last Game will be released in its original black and white edition in May 2023. The series will be available in print as single large-trim editions, as well as an eBook on various digital platforms.
