Just some of the thousands of roosters that were believed to be used in an illegal cockfighting ring in California.

Several hundred livestock animals in “various states of health” were also found Monday at the Sacred Oak Ranch in Chatsworth, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced Tuesday.
Several people at the ranch were arrested in the raid.
The county district attorney’s office and animal care and control department had also teamed up in the investigation before the sheriff’s department executed Monday’s search warrant.
Police said all animals on the property will be inspected and documented by the animal care and control department.
As of late Tuesday, charges were still pending against those busted.
