Get ready Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fans, because more information on the second season will be coming next week via Aniplex’s YouTube channel and ABEMA TV. The official Demon Slayer Twitter announced today that the special, titled “Kimestu TV, New Information Announcement Special” will broadcast on July 13 at 7 PM (Japan Time), and feature the voice actors for Tanjiro and Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira and the main focus of the upcoming arc.

The second season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will see the gang travel to Tokyo’s infamous Yoshiwara district to help out the Sound Hashira on his mission. Aniplex of America released an English subbed trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc on the weekend and re-confirmed that the series will premiere in 2021.

The first season of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba TV anime aired between April 2019 and September 2019, streaming on Crunchyroll, and become a cultural phenomenon. The sequel anime film, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train opened in Japanese cinemas on October 16, 2020, and had the best opening weekend in Japanese cinema history, becoming the highest-grossing anime film worldwide.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 will again be directed by Haruo Sotozaki, with character designs from Akira Matsushima, and produced at Ufotable. The series is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2021.
