Originally slated to premiere November 10, NBC recently announced that the fan-favorite family drama would debut its fifth season on Tuesday, October 27. Presented in a special two-hour episode, the era-jumping series will see the various Pearson family storylines continue, including that disconcerting fight between brothers Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) regarding their mother Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) Alzheimer’s treatment.
“I don’t know how you come back from something like that,” Hartley told us earlier this year regarding the brothers’ tiff, which will continue to play out. “I don’t think these things needed to be said. But they did it and I would hope that they can come back from this but I think it’ll be a struggle. I think it’s not something that’s going to happen overnight,” Hartley teased. “It’ll take time.”
