Netflix has revealed a new teaser visual of the third season of its Ultraman anime series. Titled Ultraman Final, the third season will be the final installment for the series and will premiere in 2023. 

The second season of Netflix’s Ultraman series was released on April 14, 2022 while the first season was released on April 1, 2019. The production team for season two includes Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki as chief directors, Hiroki Uchiyama as series director, and Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi as music composers. Production I.G and SOLA DIGITAL ARTS co-produced the anime. 

The anime is based on the manga series written by Eiichi Shimizu and drawn by Tomohiro Shimoguchi, which was first serialized in Hero’s Inc’s Comiplex magazine on October 1, 2011. The manga is published under the Hero Comics label and has released 18 tankoubon volumes as of April 2022. 

Netflix describes the story of Ultraman season two as:

The series centers on the son of Ultraman, Shinjiro Hayata, and the six heroes (ULTRAMAN, SEVEN, ACE, ZOFFY, JACK, TARO) who carry on the tradition of the legendary 6 Ultra Brothers. Together, they face the schemes of aliens on a cosmic scale.

Kotaro Higashi, a young photographer, encounters a mysterious missing persons case. He takes a photo proving that it was the work of aliens and brings it to the SSSP with his girlfriend Izumi. However, a certain incident transforms him into a superhuman with incredible fiery superpowers.

Then, a massive cosmic weapon appears before the human-sized Ultraman…
