#These Are Jon Bernthal’s Best Performances, Ranked

Jon Bernthal has had a steady climb in his career since his appearance in The Walking Dead. He’s worked with many acclaimed directors, like Edgar Wright in Baby Driver, Martin Scorsese in The Wolf of Wall Street, and Taylor Sheridan in Wind River. In all of these films, Bernthal has played characters who are rough and tough. In fact, his most recent film King Richard — which stars Will Smith as Richard Williams and tells the true story of his dedication to his daughters Venus and Serena as they climb the ranks in the tennis world — Bernthal actually plays a “sweetie-pie” character. It’s a testament to his talents, to be sure.
Most notably, Bernthal rose to fame thanks to his nuanced performance as Frank Castle (AKA The Punisher), first in Netflix’s Daredevil series, opposite Charlie Cox, and then in his own solo series The Punisher. While the Marvel shows have left Netflix, there have been recent rumors of a new Punisher series coming to Hulu. As the best Frank Castle/The Punisher the world has ever seen, it would make sense for Bernthal to return to the character, especially since other Netflix characters — like Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin — have recently returned since their show’s cancellation. Bernthal himself has expressed interest in returning to the MCU. As we await more details on the rumored series, here’s a look at Jon Bernthal’s best performances, ranked.
