The Issue: An explicit “porn literacy” course taught at Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School.

I attended Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School from 1972 to 1978. I was quite shocked to read of the porn presentation given to high-school juniors there (“ ‘Hardcore’ Study Session,” May 23).

The CGPS I remember was academically rigorous — you had to pass a tough entrance exam to attend — and the faculty was top-notch.

There was a sex-ed seminar requirement in the 10th or 11th grade, geared toward the sociological and biological issues that teens and young adults typically grapple with. The deans who taught it did not promote salacious ideas or attempt to brainwash students into idolizing peculiar lifestyles.

The romanticizing of bizarre and deviant sexual practices is but one aspect of a larger drive to destroy the traditional family and society as we know it. This approach has already succeeded to a considerable extent.

Anyone who opposes this must condemn it forcefully and frequently.

Parents “fumed” because they weren’t informed or “allowed to opt out” of classes where their children were being taught about porn? Really? How about fuming that such utter trash and vileness was being taught to your children at all?

I can’t tell you how glad I am that I no longer live in New York City.

The teacher from Columbia Prep who decided to use X-rated filth as acceptable course material should be fired. The fact that she did so without parents knowing about it is disgusting.

If it was such a necessary academic topic, then why do it so insidiously? Of course, the fact that she also teaches at Dalton is no surprise, considering what’s gone on there.

Parents paying a fortune to educate their kids don’t need to have their kids indoctrinated with racial hate and gratuitous sexual images. They want real education, not woke indoctrination.

I cannot begin to describe my utter disgust and anger at what passes for educational instruction and curriculum at these public and posh private schools.

Who in their right mind believes that garbage is what students need in order to have a challenging and successful academic career?

Justine Ang Fonte, a health educator from the Dalton School, is more concerned with pushing an agenda that is rife with political activism and biases.

Parents should be the ones to decide what passes for sexual education and who is doing the instructional programming and what it entails.

It is unfortunate that parental rights have been usurped by extreme ideologies and beliefs that are counterintuitive to a classical liberal arts education.

This is forced and it’s depraved. It borders on child abuse.

Until people stand together without fear, this will not stop.

One parent who spoke to The Post said, “No one wants to be canceled or lose their livelihood, and that can be done in an instant.”

The American people have to band together to stop this, and corporate heads and politicians need to back them.

So children are being mentally abused with lessons in “porn literacy” at the Upper West Side’s “posh” Columbia Grammar & Prep School and Dalton, at a $47,000-a-year price tag.

Shame on every private school educator who poisons an innocent child’s mind, which is not fully developed.
