A substitute voice actress has been announced for the character of Nika Nanaura in the on-going Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury TV anime. Starting from Episode 10, the Earth House-affiliated mechanical department student will be voiced by Haruka Shiraishi instead of Yume Miyamoto.

The voice actress change is due to Miyamoto’s health. Earlier this month, it was announced that the 25-year-old had been in poor health since the end of October and would prioritize receiving treatment. It was also mentioned that Miyamoto would take a temporary break and have restrictions on her activities for the time being.

Prior to Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury, Miyamoto had voiced characters like SSSS.Gridman‘s Rikka Takarada, Josee, the Tiger and the Fish‘s Mai Ninomiya, and Sing Yesterday for Me‘s Haru Nonaka. Her upcoming roles include Hikari no Ou‘s Hotaru, Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion‘s Raeliana McMillan/Rinko Hanasaki, and Chained Soldier‘s Himari Azuma. Miyamoto’s first anime role was in 2005’s Capeta.
