#The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest Anime Announced

An anime adaptation of the The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest (Shikkaku Mon no Saikyou Kenja: Sekai Saikyou no Kenja ga Sarani Tsuyoku Naru Tameni Tenseishimashita) light novel series has been announced.

A key visual featuring protagonist Mathias along with the characters Lurie and Arma was also released.

The staff includes Yanoriaki Akita (ORESUKI Are you the only one who loves me) as director, Huuka Kazabana (The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest as character designer, and Hiroki Uchida (Urashimasakatasen no Nichijou) as series composer. J.C. Staff is in charge of the animation production.

The cast includes Nina Tamaki (Love Rice) as Mathias, Sayumi Suzushiro (High Score Girl) as Lurie, Haruka Shiraishi (Golden Kamuy) as Arma, and Shiori Izawa (The House Spirit Tatami-chan) as Iris.

The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest light novels are written by Shotou Shinkou and illustrated by Huuka Kazabana. The light novels began publication in December 2016 and released their 12th volume in May 2020. A manga adaptation by Friendly Land’s Liver Jam and POPO began in May 2017 and released its 13th volume in December 2020. The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest also received a light novel spin-off by the main series’ creators in September 2020, while the spin-off’s manga adaptation by two other Friendly Land mangaka released its first volume in December 2020.
