#The Straw Hats Rock Out in Character Visuals for ONE PIECE FILM RED

During the One Piece super stage at Jump Festa 2022 today, more details on the upcoming ONE PIECE FILM RED were released, including a little more about the plot and Eiichiro Oda‘s musically inspired original character designs for the Goro Taniguchi-directed film. 

The top tweet teases that the Straw Hats participate in a music festival on an island and dress for the occasion in a very unique way.

Goro Taniguchi returns to the franchise for the first time since 1998 as the director on ONE PIECE FILM RED. Taniguchi, who is best known as the director of Code Geass, previously directed the 1998 One Piece: Defeat Him! The Pirate Ganzack! short for the Jump Super Anime Tour ahead of the TV anime premiere in 1999. Tsutomu Kuroiwa returns from ONE PIECE FILM GOLD to write the screenplay for ONE PIECE FILM RED. Toei Animation is producing the anime film with Eiichiro Oda.

ONE PIECE FILM RED is set to open in Japanese theaters on August 6, 2022. You can watch all 1,000 episodes of the One Piece TV anime right here on Crunchyroll.
