#Bryson DeChambeau is really jacked now

Bryson DeChambeau, mocked by some as the nerd of the PGA Tour due to his analytical and methodical approach to the game, has a new experiment.

He’s going big – physically. Once weighing in at 195 pounds, DeChambeau checked in at 239 pounds in late April and is only getting bigger. He now looks like a linebacker.

It remains to be seen how this works for him. The five-time PGA Tour winner said last October that viewers would see a “different person” after he returned from taking six months off.

“You’re going to see some pretty big changes in my body, which is going to be a good thing,” he told reporters. “Going to be hitting it a lot further.”

He did get off to a good start in the Charles Schwab Challenge on Thursday, finishing his round tied for fourth on the leaderboard at 5-under while hitting 16 of 18 greens in the opening round. According to the tour, his average drives this year are 321.3 yards, way up from his drives in 2019 of 294.6 yards.
