#The Series Releases “The Story of the Angel Hero Arc” Trailer

The ongoing Sand Land: The Series anime has released a trailer for its ongoing “The Story of the Angel Hero Arc” (“Tenshi no Yuusha-hen”).

The series premiered on Disney+ on March 20 with seven episodes, including the first episode of “The Story of the Angel Hero Arc.” Its first arc, “The Story of the Fiend Prince,” is a slightly different version of August 2023’s Sand Land movie that features previously unincluded cuts and new scenes.

Sand Land: The Series will have 13 episodes in total. Episode 9 was released on April 3.

Sand Land: The Series is based on the manga from the late Akira Toriyama. It debuted in 2000 and ran for 14 chapters in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, and is collected into a single volume. Viz Media describes the premise as:

In the far future, war has destroyed the entire Earth, leaving only a barren wasteland where the supply of water is controlled by the greedy king. In search of a long-lost lake, Sheriff Rao asked the king of the demons for help…and got the king’s son, Beelzebub, and his assistant, Thief. Together the unlikely trio sets off across the desert, facing dragons, bandits and the deadliest foe of all… the King’s army itself! It’s travel adventure and tank action in this new story from Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball Z!

Sand Land video game will be released on April 26 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
