#The Rock Trolls Red Notice Co-Star Ryan Reynolds with Epic Billboard Prank

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson knows how to get people’s attention and what better way to do that than a giant billboard. Johnson is teaming up with Ryan Reynolds in a new Netflix action movie, Red Notice. In a hilarious jab at his co-star, Johnson put up an epic billboard that accuses Reynolds of something many people do but may be afraid to admit.

Dwayne Johnson posted a picture of the billboard to his Instagram account and the billboard says, “Ryan Reynolds uses his mom’s Netflix account.”

“One last heist for the road. Beat that, @vancityreynolds,” Johnson wrote in the caption. “For the record, Ryan’s mama is an AMAZING WOMAN. Not sure why Ryan turned out the way he did.” Reynolds took the opportunity to post in the comments saying, “In fairness, my mom uses my OnlyFans account.”

This billboard comes right before the release of Red Notice on Netflix, where Reynolds and Johnson are teaming up to fight Gal Gadot. Per the Netflix description, Red Notice follows an FBI profiler (Johnson) who begrudgingly teams up with an art thief (Reynolds) to catch “an elusive crook who’s always one step ahead.” Red Notice is reportedly the most expensive movie ever from the streaming service with a budget of $200 million.

Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds last appeared together in the Fast and Furious spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw. Gadot and Johnson also starred in both Fast Five and Fast and Furious 6 together. Based on the trailers for Red Notice, Reynolds and Johnson are going to be throwing quips and jabs back and forth so this billboard may be a preview of what’s to come.

Johnson does have a history of messing with his co-stars, especially Jumanji and Central Intelligence co-star, Kevin Hart. In another promotional prank for Jumanji: The Next Level, Johnson posted a meme comparing Hart to the adorable Baby Yoda character from The Mandalorian.

Johnson also recently broke the internet with his surprise rap verse on a Tech N9ne song that went viral all over Tik Tok. The rock even began performing this rap at the Red Notice premiere, with some fans who had clearly been listening to this verse too many times.

Both Reynolds and Johnson are coming off of successful summer blockbusters with Johnson starring in Disney’s Jungle Cruise and Reynolds starring in Free Guy. Both films were successful at the box office, especially considering the current state of theaters.

So far, critics aren’t loving Red Notice as the film has a 41% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. The critics consensus says, “Red Notice‘s big budget and A-list cast add up to a slickly competent action comedy whose gaudy ingredients only make the middling results more disappointing.” Still, Johnson and Reynolds are usually hits with audiences so we’ll have to wait and see how the crowd reacts to it this weekend.

Red Notice will hit Netflix on Nov. 12. It is also playing in limited theaters if you want an experience with a larger screen. It is directed and written by Rawson Marshall Thurber and also stars Chris Diamantopoulos, Ritu Arya, and Vincenzo Amato.
