In the USA and Japan, the new “Demon Slayer” movie is once again flushing a lot of sales into the box office of the cinema operators.

It looks like it will «Demon Slayer» once again lure people en masse to the cinemas. The new movie «Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village»which includes Episodes 10 & 11 of Season 2 and the start of Season 3, launched in Japan in February and has been in theaters in the US and Europe for a few days.

As Comicbook.com reports, the film has in the so-called opening weekend in the USA already over $10 million recorded. A big success! This makes “Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village” one of the most successful films currently in the USA – despite strong competition! The new “Creed III” with Michael B. Jordan started in the same week.

Also in Japan the film is a great success: by the end of February, “Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village” was making waves in its country of origin 3.13 billion yen around (equivalent to approximately 23 million US dollars). Total were over two million cinema tickets sold. Unfortunately, there are currently no figures on the performance of the film in Germany. A look at the booking platforms of the cinemas, however, leads to the conclusion that the cinemas for “Demon Slayer” are also very well booked in this country.

The 3rd season of «Demon Slayer» with the Swordsmith Village Arc will be released in April 2023 start in Japan. A simulcast with German subs at Crunchyroll is considered very likely.
