#The One Piece Remake Anime Announced by WIT Studio and Netflix

During Jump Fest 2023, WIT Studio and Netflix announced that it will produce The One Piece remake anime series. The series will remake the series starting from the “East Blue Arc.” Netflix will be streaming the series. 

The format and release date has yet to be announced at this time. 

The current One Piece TV anime series will start its next arc “Egg Head Arc” beginning January 4, 2024. Toei Animation is in charge of production for the current ongoing animation.

As a child, Monkey D. Luffy was inspired to become a pirate by listening to the tales of the buccaneer “Red-Haired” Shanks. But his life changed when Luffy accidentally ate the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit and gained the power to stretch like rubber…at the cost of never being able to swim again! The Shueisha-published manga began its run in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997 and has been collected into 107 tankoubon volumes as of November 2023.
