#The New Acura ZDX Electric SUV Debuts This Month – Review Geek

The Acura ZDX is almost here.

Acura is giving us our first official glimpse at the new 2024 Acura ZDX, an all-electric SUV and the brand’s first EV. The 2024 Acura ZDX EV will formally debut on August 17th at Monterey Car Week.

For those unaware, Acura is Honda’s luxury and performance sister brand, which offers a wide array of vehicles but is a bit late to the electric vehicle market. However, the company will roar onto the scene with not only the new ZDX, but alongside it, we’ll also get the Acura ZDX Performance Type S, which it’s calling “the most powerful and quickest accelerating SUV in Acura history.”

The automaker first confirmed the ZDX in the summer of 2022, and we’ve seen a few leaked images and received limited information from Acura itself. Unfortunately, this announcement today didn’t share too many details. We still don’t have full specs, performance numbers, or anything remotely close to a price tag.

The Acura ZDX is being co-developed with Honda and GM and will run on GM’s Ultium EV platform. The design, created in California, is based on the Acura Precision concept and will be ready to hit the streets in early 2024.

Announced by Acura earlier this summer, the ZDX will have Android Auto built-in, Google Assistant, an enhanced version of Google Maps, and several other Google products to help round out the offering. The company’s website says it is the first version of “Google built for Acura.”

Potential buyers can also look forward to a stunning design inside and out, complete with Bang & Olufsen speakers, spacious infotainment displays throughout, and much more. If the image above of the internal speakers is anything to go by, it’ll also have interior LED lighting and other high-end features.

Unfortunately, that’s about all we know right now. Thankfully, the official unveiling takes place on August 17th, when we expect to learn all the ins and outs of the SUV. Acura’s first electric SUV should have much to offer, a luxurious design and plenty of power with the Performance Type S model.
