An anime adaptation of The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior has been announced with a 2023 release date and teaser trailer. OLM Team Yoshioka is producing the show.

The main staff includes Norio Nitta (Odd Taxi assistant director, Kira Kira Happy Hirake! Cocotama director) as director, Deko Akao (My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex, Komi Can’t Communicate) as series composer, and Hitomi Kawano (Life with an Ordinary Guy Who Reincarnated into a Total Fantasy Knockout chief animation director) as character designer. Hanae Nakamura (I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss co-composer), Tatsuhiko Saiki (The Dawn of the Witch), Kanade Sakuma (I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss co-composer), and Junko Nakajima (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! X co-composer) are composing the music.

Voicing The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen protagonist Pride is Fairouz Ai. The other main cast members are Maaya Uchida as Pride’s adopted brother Stale and Haruka Tomatsu as Pride’s younger sister Tiara.

An illustration by the light novels’ illustrator Suzunosuke was released to celebrate the anime’s announcement. A visual was also released.

The original Ichijinsha-published light novel series is written by Tenichi and published under the Iris NEO label. It began in 2019 and has five volumes as of April 2022. The series has sold over one million copies.

The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen was originally a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou, with the first chapter published in April 2018. The light novels have inspired a manga adaptation by Bunko Matsuura.
