#The Idolmaster “Voyager” Concept Movie Released, Produced By Cloverworks

The Idolmaster series has released the concept movie for its 2021 image song, Voyager (stylized as VOYA@GER). The project was teased back in July.

Atsushi Nishigori is the director and character designer of the Voyager concept movie, while Studio Khara’s Shogo Tsurī is the visual director. Cloverworks and Khara are credited with producing the video, while Cloverworks is the animation production company.

Nishigori had previously directed the 2011 The Idolmaster anime series, in addition to serving as its character designer, co-series composer, and more. More recently, Nishigori served multiple roles on Evangelion: 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon A Time, including chief animation director, co-character designer, and key animator. 

Meanwhile, Tsurī was one of the lead CGI animators, pre-visual cameramen, and action cameramen for Evangelion: 3.0+1.01.

Voyager is performed by representatives from the 765PRO ALLSTARS, THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS, MILLIONSTARS, 315 STARS, and Shiny Colors units, who are collectively referred to as THE IDOLM@STER FIVE STARS!!!!!. The song was released on August 4 in five CD editions.

The song’s performing characters and their respective voice artists include:

765PRO ALLSTARS – Haruka Amami (Eriko Nakamura), Makoto Kikuchi (Hiromi Hirata), and Takane Shijō (Yumi Hara).

THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS – Syuko Shiomi (Lu Ting), Minami Nitta (Aya Suzaki), and Hayate Hisakawa (Rika Nagae).

MILLIONSTARS – Umi Kōsaka (Reina Ueda), Tsumugi Shiraishi (Saki Minami), and Anna Mochizuki (Shīna Natsukawa).

315 STARS – Kyoji Takajo (Yuichiro Umehara), Genbu Kurono (Toshinari Fukamachi), and Chris Koron (Wataru Komada).

Shiny Colors – Natsuha Arisugawa (Akiho Suzumoto), Fuyuko Mayuzumi (Eri Yukimura), and Toru Asakura (Yū Wakui).

The Idolmaster (stylized as THE IDOLM@STER) multimedia franchise begin with a 2005 arcade game that was ported to the Xbox 360 in 2007. It has since spawned multiple video games and various anime, in addition to radio shows, drama CDs, soundtrack releases, and print media. A new game titled The Idolmaster Starlit Season is set to release on October 14 on PlayStation 4 and Steam.
