#The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Launches on August 5, Pre-Orders Start in March

The Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 video game will be released on August 5 (August 1 JST in Japan) for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Steam, and the “Nintendo Switch family of systems.” Digital pre-orders will begin on March 3 for PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam, with the Nintendo Switch to follow later.

A trailer highlighting the Entertainment District, with previews of an investigation sequence with Zenitsu and the big battle with Daki and Gyutaro, was also released.

The pre-order options include a US$69.99 (MRSP) Digital Deluxe Edition, which comes with the following:

• Base game
• 2 Kimetsu Academy Character Unlock Keys – Kyojuro Rengoku and Tengen Uzui
• 4 Character Unlock Keys – Tengen Uzui, Obanai Iguro, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Gyomei Himejima
• VS Mode System Voice: Upper Rank Demons Set – Akaza, Daki, Gyutaro, Gyokko, and Zohakuten
• 3 Battle Attire Costumes – Tanjiro Kamado’s Kimono (Entertainment District), Inosuke Hashibira’s Kimono (Entertainment District), and Tengen Uzui’s Shinobi Attire
• Pre-order bonuses: Advanced Access* – The ability to play the game starting on July 31, 2025, and 2 Character Unlock Keys** – Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji

Meanwhile, the Digital Standard Edition (MSRP US$59.99) will have the Unlock Keys for Kyojuro Rengoku (Kimetsu Academy) and Tengen Uzui (Kimetsu Academy) in addition to the base game. Its pre-order bonuses are the keys for Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji.

The Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji keys are also included with the “limited time launch version of the physical edition” (also MSRP US$59.99).

Extra bonuses will be available for those who link their save date from the first game or Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board!. These are:

Like the first game, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is an arena fighter developed by CyberConnect2. It will feature more than 40 playable characters and a story mode that covers the Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and Hashira Training Arc.
