The second season of The Devil is a Part-Timer! is receiving a sequel that will air in 2023. Although the production team did not specify what format the sequel would be, it will be broadcasted on Japanese television. 

A new key visual featuring the main characters of The Devil is a Part-Timer!! has also been revealed. 

The returning voice cast includes Ryouta Oosaka as Sadao Maou, Youko Hikasa as Emi Yusa, Nao Touyama as Chiho Sasaki, Yuuki Ono as Shiro Ashiya, Hiro Shimono as Hanzo Urushihara, Kanae Itou as Suzuno Kamazuki, and Hina Kino as the new character Alas Ramus.

The second season’s production team consists of Daisuke Tsukushi (Isekai Cheat Magician) as director, Yudai Iino (22/7 animation director) as character designer, Masahiro Yokotani (The Devil is a Part-Timer!, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 2) as series screenwriter, and Yoshihiro Takeda (Divine Gate animation director) as chief animation director. Studio 3Hz is handling the animation production for the series. 

Other staff members include Kusanagi’s Manabu Otsuzuki (Tokyo Revengers) as art director, Wish’s Akemi Teshima (The Devil is a Part-Timer!, Princess Connect! Re:Dive) as color designer, Asahi Production’s Ryou Iijima (Star Twinkle Precure the Movie: These Feelings Within The Song Of Stars assistant photography director) as photography director, and Ryousuke Nakanishi (The Devil is a Part-Timer!, Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life!) as music composer.

The first season of The Devil is a Part-Timer!, which was produced by White Fox, was released back in 2013. It is based on the light novel series by Satoshi Wagahara with illustrations from 029, which was published from February 10, 2011 to August 7, 2020 with 21 physical volumes. The light novels are published under the Dengeki Bunko label and have inspired several manga spinoff series.

The Devil and the Hero may be powerful enemies back home in Ente Isla, but in today’s Tokyo Sadao Maou and Emi Yusa are working hard as ever in their human jobs. They spend their days settling into life in Japan and navigating the stormy economic seas along with the Devil’s castle crew and the lovestruck high-school girl Chiho.

But one day a mysterious young girl appears and plunges the Devil’s castle into chaos. Incredibly, there’s child-rearing to think about now, not to mention the endless stream of visitors from Ente Isla and the fact that, as always, they can’t make rent without working.
