#The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 Reveals New Story Visual

A new story visual has been revealed for the second season of The Dangers in My Heart TV anime, which was released shortly after the broadcast of the anime’s episode. Season two of the romantic comedy series first premiered in Japan on January 6, 2024 and will run for 12 episodes. 

The first season of The Dangers in My Heart as broadcasted from April 2, 2023 to June 18, 2023. HIDIVE, Prime Video, and Bilibili are streaming the anime series overseas.

Hiroaki Akagi (Teasing Master Takagi-san) is directing the second season, with Jukki Hanada (Love Live! Superstar!!) as series screenwriter and script writer, Masato Katsumata (The Quintessential Quintuplets) as character designer, and Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man) as music composer. Shin-Ei Animation is in charge of the animation production. 

Meanwhile, the main cast includes: 

  • • Shun Horie as Kyotaro Ichikawa
  • • Hina Youmiya as Anna Yamada
  • • Ayaka Asai as Chihiro Kobayashi
  • • Megumi Han as Moeko Sekine
  • • Atsumi Tanezaki as Serina Yoshida

The anime adapts the original manga series by Norio Sakurai, which was first serialized in Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross website under the Shonen Champion Comics label. Nine tankoubon volumes have been released as of November 2023.

HIDIVE describes the synopsis of the first season as: 

Fascinated by murder and all things macabre, Kyotaro daydreams of acting out his twisted fantasies on his unsuspecting classmates — but an encounter with Anna Yamada, the gorgeous class idol, lights a spark in the darkness of his heart. It’s a classic tale of an antisocial boy falling for a popular girl, but neither are who they appear to be at first glance. Will Kyotaro and Anna defy their expectations of each other — and of themselves?
