#Masked Raiders Join the Cast of SAKUGAN TV Anime

Two new cast members have been revealed for SAKUGAN, an upcoming TV anime that adapts the science fiction novel by Nekotarou Inui about explorers who pilot mecha to map the wilderness between human space colonies in the distant future.

In SAKUGAN, voice actors Tsuyoshi Koyama and Misaki Watada play Boss (not pictured) and Muuko (pictured above), a pair of masked raiders who belong to the armed organization known as Shibito. Shibito is a mysterious group that attacks the control towers located in the center of each colony for unknown reasons.

The story of SAKUGAN is described as follows:

One day in the distant future. Humans live shoulder to shoulder in “colonies” separated by rock. Outside the colonies, a dangerous undeveloped area called “the Labyrinth” is expanding. Those who risk their lives to develop “the Labyrinth”, who mark out the undeveloped areas, are known as “Markers”. A young girl, Memempu, who wants to be a Marker one day, and a man, Gagumber, who used to be one. This mismatched father and daughter now take on the Labyrinth! “If there’s no path, dig one!” Adventure Mecha Action presented by SATELIGHT to start airing in autumn 2021!

SAKUGAN is directed by Junichi Wada and features animation production by SATELIGHT. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan during the fall season of 2021.
