There are thousands of shows to see in New York City every month which makes keeping track of any kind of live show calendar hard and knowing which ones are even worth going to even harder. We here at The FADER are always making note of the upcoming performances that we’re excited to catch, and starting this month, will be publishing our picks of the most exciting shows coming up in the city. Ahead, find 12 shows that we’re most looking forward to in June 2025, from high-energy metal showcases to can’t-miss showings from Body Meat and Xiu Xiu, to Pride months biggest blow-out, Ladyland 2025.

June 2: Full of Hell, Harm’s Way, Kruelty, Jarhead Fertilizer, Clique @ Bowery Ballroom

Coming off their bruising new album Broken Sword, Rotten Shield, Full of Hell approach their scorched-earth metal with a punk mentality. Get tickets here.

June 7: Lucy Liyou, Eliana Glass @ Public Records

Back in March, Lucy Liyou shared Every Video Without Your Face, Every Sound Without Your Name, an album that transmuted deep loss into gorgeous ambient pop. At Public Records, she’ll be joined by jazz singer Eliana Glass, whose 2025 debut album E showcased her haunting, smoldering voice. Get tickets here.

June 8: John Wiese, Lana Del Rabies @ TV Eye

Noise legend James Wiese has released two-dozen-odd ear-shattering harsh noise projects. Perhaps harshest among them is his staticky, terrifying 2007 magnum opus, Soft Punk. Get tickets here.

June 11: Hayden Pedigo @ Night Club 101

The 21st-century king of fingerstyle guitar will show off the gorgeous sounds of his forthcoming album, I’ll Be Waving As You Drive Away, a breathtaking blend of wide-open American primitivist and intricate, athletic neck theatrics. Get tickets here.

June 13: Wet Ink Ensemble @ Roulette

Watching the ever-mutating of forward-thinking new music auteurs is always a treat, and its current lineup — featuring Gelsey Bell on vocals and daxophone, Carolyn Chen on keyboards, Ben LaMar Gay on cornet, and Aurora Nealand on sax — is especially strong. Get tickets here.

June 17: James Krivchenia, Purelink @ Elsewhere Zone 1 AND Special Interest, True Body @ Elsewhere Rooftop

The Elsewhere complex will have two excellent shows going in its smaller venues on June 17th. While New Orleans no-wave punks Special Interest break things on the roof, left-field producer (and Big Thief drummer) James Krivchenia will play sounds from his new album Performing Belief in Zone One, with local electronic trio Purelink in support. Get tickets to Zone 1 here and to the Rooftop here.

June 18: Isaiah Barr, David Frazier Jr., William Parker @ Domino Park

June 21: Matmos, Foodman, Giant Claw, more eaze @ Knockdown Center

June 25: William Hooker, Alan Braufman, James Brandon Lewis @ Union Pool

Celebrating their seminal album A Time Within: Live at the New York Jazz Museum, January 14, 1977, drummer William Hooker and saxophonist Alan Braufman will be joined by James Brandon Lewis (also on sax) at Union Pool. Get tickets here.

June 27: Ladyland Festival @ Under the ‘K’ Bridge Park

Cardi B, FKA twigs, Pabllo Vittar, and over 40 other artists will perform at one of the most anticipated events of PRIDE. Get tickets here.

June 28: Deerhoof, iiisa, Body Meat @ Pioneer Works
