#Toronto’s LilyIsThatYou shares the visuals for “FMRN”

The sex-positive single went viral, and was subsequently banned, on TikTok earlier this year.

Earlier this summer, LilyIsThatYou’s debut single “FMRN” shot to viral fame on TikTok before it was removed by the platform thanks to its sultry content. Now, the Toronto-based artist has shared its official visuals. Described by Lily as a “desire fever dream,” the singer holds little back over bass-heavy bubblegum production as she asks a prospective lover: “can you come fuck me right now?”

Lily shared her inspiration for the video in an email to FADER, positioning the track as a sex-positive pop anthem. “My inspiration for the video was to portray a sexual fantasy. To me, that represents something limitless, boundless, even absurd. I wanted it to feel like a ‘trip’ into the silly, beautiful, and passionate side of sex we don’t always get to talk about,” she explained. “We wanted to create a visual that played to the aesthetics women find beautiful, my demographic is 90% female and it was important to me to consider the female gaze rather than playing into the typical oversexualized music videos for the male gaze we commonly see for songs with sexual lyrics like this one.”
