A Brooklyn grand jury has indicted a 15-year-old alleged Crips gang member on attempted murder and other raps for the Labor Day shooting that hit a 6-year-old boy in both legs and injured five others.

The indictment against Donovan Bailey was revealed Friday during a hearing in Brooklyn Criminal Court.

Bailey was arrested on charges of attempted murder, assault and weapons possession for the Sept. 7 gunfight in Crown Heights during an unsanctioned J’Ouvert celebration. The judge, lawyers and defendants all appeared via Skype.

In light of the new indictment, Judge Craig Walker ordered Bailey held on $5,000 bail on an old 2019 robbery case at the request of Assistant DA Anthony Bailey.

The alleged teen triggerman, who is a reputed member of the Crips, was already ordered held without bail for the early morning gunfight that left 6-year-old Maxwell Cesc-Dinho with a shattered femur after a bullet tore through both his legs.  The child’s mother was also struck in the foot. Bailey allegedly fled in a silver vehicle but was nabbed a few blocks away.

Authorities said the bloodshed was sparked by a gang dispute with the rival Folk Nation crew.
