“Teen hit by stray bullet in NYC home while doing homework”

A 15-year-old girl was struck by a stray bullet that flew into her Queens home as she did her homework late Tuesday, according to cops and police sources.

The teen was working on assignments inside her house on 113th Road near 205th Street in St. Albans around 11 p.m. when shots were fired across the street – and the gunfire inadvertently entered her home, cops and the sources said.

The teen was struck once in the right shin, cops said.

Her father called 911, and reported he heard multiple gunshots being fired outside his home before his daughter was shot, the sources said.

Three bullet holes were discovered on the front door, according to the sources.

The teen was taken to Cohen Children’s Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition, police said.

Footage from a neighbor’s home surveillance system shows three suspects pull out guns and open fire before fleeing toward Francis Lewis Boulevard, sources told The Post.

Twenty-one 9mm shell casings, and well as five fired bullet fragments, were recovered on scene.

No arrests have been made, and police have not identified any suspects.

The motive for the shooting, and the intended target, were both unknown Wednesday morning.

“New Yorkers must be safe in their own homes, ” Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell tweeted. “Every NYPD resource is being utilized to find those responsible for the shooting on 113th Rd. in Queens last night that resulted in a 15-year-old girl being struck and injured while in her dining room.”

The shooting comes just over a week after 72-year-old grandmother and retired librarian Margaret Henry was struck in the arm by a stray bullet in her South Ozone Park home.
