#Teasing Master Takagi-san Movie Gets Early Summer Release Date, Teaser

An early summer Japanese release date has been announced for the upcoming Teasing Master Takagi-san movie. A brief teaser trailer was also released.

The movie will arrive several months after Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 3‘s January premiere. The anime is based on the teenage romantic comedy manga series by Souichirou Yamamoto, who also created When Will Ayumu Make His Move?. The first and second seasons premiered in January 2018 and July 2019 respectively.

Crunchyroll describes the Teasing Master Takagi-san anime as:

“I swear I’m going to tease and embarrass Takagi-san today!” Nishikata, a middle-schooler, keeps getting teased by the girl who sits next to him in class, Takagi-san. He tries every day to get back at her, but will he ever succeed? Takagi-san and Nishikata’s youthful teasing battle starts now!

All of the seasons are directed by Akagi Hiroaki with character designs from Aya Takano. Shin-Ei Animation is the animation production company. Meanwhile, the lead cast members are Rie Takahashi as Takagi and Yuki Kaji as Nishikata respectively.

The Teasing Master Takagi-san manga began in 2013 and has 17 tankoubon volumes as of January 2022. It is currently serialized in Shogakukan’s Gessan/Monthly Shonen Sunday magazine and published under the Gessan Shonen Sunday Comics label. Prior to August 2016, the manga was serialized in Gessan mini. A spin-off, titled Karakai Jouzu no (Moto) Takagi-san (Teasing Master [Former] Takagi-san), began in 2017 and features a married Takagi and Nishikata with their young daughter.
