#Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Concert Film Set for Los Angeles World Premiere

AMC Theaters plans a world premiere screening in Los Angeles for the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film on Oct. 11.

There’s no word on whether Taylor Swift will walk the red carpet in Hollywood, or at which theater, but the gala screening will come two days before the concert film opens in over 100 countries on Oct. 13, starting at 6 p.m. local time.

The Hollywood world premiere will take place before the film capturing Swift’s record-breaking concert tour plays in more than 7,500 movie theaters around the world. That screen count comes from AMC Theatres, which is releasing Eras Tour in the U.S. via Variance Releasing, and also unveiled a raft of deals for the international distribution of the film. 

Back in the domestic market, every AMC location in the U.S. will screen Eras Tour at 6 p.m. local time on Oct. 13, the mega-exhibitor confirmed on Thursday. Also showing the concert film in the U.S. is Cinemark and Regal Cinemas, while Cineplex will screen Eras Tour in Canada, and Cinepolis will do the same in Mexico.

Early North American box office tracking data for Eras Tour suggest the movie will open to a massive $75 million, with some more bullish analysts believing the opening weekend numbers could cross $100 million with an upper ceiling of $125 million.

Swift’s Eras Tour has become a cultural phenomenon. With record demand for tickets and smashed world records in attendance and concert tour revenue, Swift offers fans a 44-song set list crossing the many eras and albums of the Midnights singer’s career.

Swift’s current tour kicked off in March of this year in Arizona before the show, which has attracted celebrity guests, wound its way across the U.S.
