#Taylor Swift teases new song ahead of Grammy 2021 performance

Taylor Swift fans have waited with bated breath since last year to hear … old Taylor Swift.

The diva announced last year her plans to
re-record much of her pop catalog predating 2019’s “Lover,” due to a fallout with ex-producer Scooter Braun which left Swift with no legal authority over much of her biggest hits.

Any day now, fans expect Swift, 31, to drop her version of 2008’s “Fearless,” including her breakout single “Love Story.” In the meantime, the pop star blessed her loyal Swifties Friday with a teaser of “Wildest Dreams” -2.0, which originally appeared on the 2014 record “1989.” She shared a snippet of the updated track via Instagram Stories, confirming that the song had been picked up to promote DreamWork’s forthcoming equine animation, “Spirit Untamed,” out June 4.

The preview comes amid hype for the “Willow” singer’s Grammy performance on Sunday — the first to showcase her latest work, which dropped last year during a time when touring and live performances were impossible. Needless to say, fans are eager to see Swift take the stage again.

“One thing I can tell you about my Grammy performance that isn’t highly confidential is that my performance includes my collaborators Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff,” Swift said in a video message shared via the Grammys’ social-media channels. Antonoff and Dessner worked with Swift to produce 2020’s double album drop, “Folklore” and “Evermore.”

Sharing details of how her “folklorian family” have bunkered down together during the pandemic, she added, “It’s just really exciting, honestly, to play music with your collaborators. That’s something that I will never, ever take for granted again.”

Swift is nominated for six Grammys this year, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for “Folklore.”
