A San Antonio jury has found Taymor McIntyre, better known as the rapper Tay-K, guilty in the murder of 23-year-old photographer Mark Anthony Saldivar, according to local news reports. Tay-K was first convicted on July 19, 2019 in the murder of 21-year-old Ethan Walker, and is currently serving a 55-year sentence in that case.

Tay-K was on the run from authorities at the time of Saldivar’s murder. The rapper fled house arrest in April 2017 while awaiting trial for the murder of Walker, who was killed in 2016 during a home invasion. During his time on the run, Tay-K is also alleged to have attacked a senior citizen in an Arlington park in May 2017.

Tay-K faces between 5 and 99 years in prison in the Saldivar case. The jury found him not guilty of capital murder, preventing a life sentence from being imposed.

While Tay-K was evading police, he released the music video for “The Race,” his breakout song. It would eventually achieve platinum certification and hundreds of millions of streams.
