Target to launch another food and beverage brand in April, Favorite Day

Favorite Day joins Good & Gather in the Target private label portfolio

said Tuesday that it will launch another private label food brand on April 5 called Favorite Day.

Favorite Day will include more than 700 items including ice cream, trail mix, baked goods and beverage mixers.

All Favorite Day products will be priced below $15.

Favorite Day, with its focus on snacking, is intended to complement Target’s flagship food and beverage brand Good & Gather.

Good & Gather generated $2 billion in sales last year.

In its most recent earnings, Target said it has 10 owned brands with $1 billion in sales, including four with more than $2 billion in sales.

Other Target private-label brands include women’s apparel brand A New Day, the budget-friendly Market Pantry food label, and home brand Opalhouse.

Target stock has rallied 65.4% over the past year while the S&P 500 index

+1.42%
has gained 34.5% for the period.
