A new Umamusume short anime titled Umayuru has been announced. It will premiere sometime in autumn.

SCOOTER FILMS is the animation production company for the new series. The characters who will appear in the show include Vodka, Daiwa Scarlet, Symboli Kris S, and Tanino Gimlet.

Umayuru‘s announcement comes the day after the reveal of a new Umamusume series, which was described being different from the existing TV anime. The Cygames-created multimedia franchise is currently in Day 2 of its 4th EVENT “SPECIAL DREAMERS!!” event’s run in Yokohama.

The franchise includes various manga, the existing Umamusume: Pretty Derby TV anime series, the Umayon short anime, and the Umamusume: Pretty Derby social simulation game. The Umamusume: Pretty Derby anime released its first season in 2018 and its second season in 2021, while Umayon was released in 2020.

This is a tale of a world where “horse girls”; with glorious names and incredible running abilities live alongside humanity. Horse girl Special Week has moved from the country to the city to attend Tracen Academy.
