The boy was discovered hanging in the bathroom around 3 a.m. by his mother after she returned from making a run as an UberEats driver, the Houston Chronicle reported.
Emergency crews tried saving the boy but he died at a local hospital. His cause of death hasn’t been released and the exact circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.
The mom said that she left the boy at home with his two sisters and told them she would be right back after delivering the orders, according to the Chronicle. The ages of the two girls haven’t been reported.
It’s unclear whether the mom will face charges, but the case is under investigation, news station WOIA reported.
