#Injuries continue to wreck Adam Gase’s crew

As if the 0-4 Jets didn’t have enough problems, they will now be without Sam Darnold on Sunday when they take on the Cardinals at MetLife Stadium. Darnold won’t start as he deals with a shoulder injury that has him week-to-week as the Jets continue to be doomed by injuries. To break down the injury list and preview the matchup Sunday, we present to you a brand new episode of the “Gang’s All Here” Jets podcast with Brian Costello and me.

We open up the show talking about Joe Flacco getting the start at QB for Darnold. Does Flacco have anything left in him? Can he lead the Jets offense to more points? We talk about the plethora of Jets injures, including Darnold, Mekhi Becton, Denzel Mims and Breshad Perriman. Le’Veon Bell will return Sunday, but will he be that much help behind a backup QB and banged-up offensive line? Is there concern Darnold could be out a while? We examine the Becton injury, his sadness on the sidelines last week and the questionable decision by the Jets to put him in the game with his shoulder injury. The Jets best players have been Sam Ficken and Braden Mann, which is a problem. We break down the matchup against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals and why he will run all over the Jets and send them to 0-5.

In the first installment of “Brian’s Book,” Coz tells the incredible story of the time he nearly got into a fight with Rex and Rob Ryan at a bar in Indianapolis. There were profanities exchanged and some yelling, but no punches were thrown. Only if there was video out there of this story…

Former Jets wide receiver Rob Carpenter then joins the show. Carpenter talks about Adam Gase and why he was not the right hire for this team from the start. He gets into his time with the Jets when a younger Peter Carroll became his head coach in 1994, replacing Bruce Coslet and the kind of coach Carroll was back then. Carpenter also gets into Darnold’s struggles, if they should go for Trevor Lawrence, the future of the franchise with Joe Douglas at the helm and how former players are thinking of the Jets right now.
