#Paramount+ Names Anna Priest U.K. Head, Pluto TV Gets Senior VP, Int’l Content Programming, Acquisitions

Paramount Global has appointed two executives to new roles to strengthen its international streaming business.

Anna Priest, previously chief marketing officer (CMO) for Paramount U.K., has been named senior vp and head of Paramount+ for the U.K. market. She now reports to Marco Nobili, executive vp and international general manager of Paramount+ who unveiled her appointment to staff in an internal memo.

As CMO, Priest worked on the successful launch and growth of Paramount+. In her new role, she will “define the strategic vision” for Paramount+ in the U.K. and Ireland, while “leveraging partnerships to identify growth opportunities for the streamer,” the company said. “Content, marketing and distribution for Paramount+ in the U.K. will now dual report into Anna and their functional leadership.”

Priest’s marketing team has worked on consumer-centric activations, including one at London Heathrow Airport that featured Star Trek characters in-person, as well as a Star Trek-themed Holo-Panel organized at MCM Comic Con in London.

In the second executive move, Katrina Kowalski is now senior vp, international content programming and acquisitions for Pluto TV. She reports to Olivier Jollet, executive vp and international general manager of Pluto TV who announced her appointment in an internal memo, and Jeff Grossmann, executive vp, streaming content and business operations at Paramount. She had most recently served as vp of content for Pluto TV and Paramount+ in Canada.

Among other work, Kowalski supported the Canadian arrival of Pluto TV in December through a partnership with Corus and was instrumental in the commissioning of Canada’s first development slate for original content.

In her new role, she will lead Pluto TV’s content strategy, programming and content partnerships in all markets outside the U.S., with Pluto TV’s regional content leaders dually reporting to her and to the regional heads of streaming in their respective markets.
