“How to Love Your Elf Bride Anime On The Way”

An anime adaptation of An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride is currently in pre-production, the HJ Bunko Twitter account has revealed.

The announcement comes a few days before the release of the light novels’ 16th volume, the manga adaptation’s ninth tankoubon volume, and the Akuyuu no Ore ga Ponkotsu Kishi wo Miterarenaindaga, Dou Sewa wo Yakyaii? ~Madome Gaiden~ spin-off manga’s first tankoubon volume on November 1.

The An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride light novels are written by Fuminori Teshima and illustrated by COMTA. J Novel Club, which licenses both the light novels and the manga, describes the former as:

Zagan is feared by the masses as an evil sorcerer. Both socially awkward and foulmouthed, he spends his days studying sorcery while beating down any trespassers within his domain. One day he’s invited to a dark auction, and what he finds there is an elven slave girl of peerless beauty, Nephy. Having fallen in love at first sight, Zagan uses up his entire fortune to purchase her, but being a poor conversationalist, he has no idea how to properly interact with her. Thus, the awkward cohabitation of a sorcerer who has no idea how to convey his love and his slave who yearns for her master but has no idea how to appeal to him begins.

The series began in 2017, while the manga adaptation from Hako Itagaki began serialization in 2018. The spin-off is drawn by Momo Futaba.
