Brit cop turned killer Wayne Couzens harbored dreams of stardom that included hopes of appearing on the silver screen.

Couzens, 48, once auditioned to be a gun-toting actor in what The Sun of London described as a “low-budget gangster flick.”

The firearms officer pleaded guilty Friday to killing 33-year-old advertising executive Sarah Everard in a case that has gripped the United Kingdom. Couzens abducted the woman after she left a friend’s house in South London in March. He will be sentenced in September.

A photo alleged to be from the movie audition shows Couzens handling a cell phone as if it were a handgun in an apparent effort to impress directors.

Childhood friends told The Sun that Couzens also dreamed of becoming a rock star and was nicknamed Johnny Rotten – famed frontman for The Sex Pistols – because of his ginger hair.

Couzens was also accused of indecent exposure in 2015, according to recent reports. Kent Police are being investigated for their handling of the charge.

Still, Couzens’ admission that he kidnapped, raped and murdered Everard has apparently shocked long-time acquaintances.

“He’s the last person I’d expect to see linked to it,” one friend told The Sun. “He was always a bit strange, he never said much. But he was still a very nice guy, completely harmless. It makes this all even more chilling and mystifying.”

Everard was kidnapped in London on March 3 and her body found two weeks later more than 50 miles away in Kent. Officials report that she had been strangled.
