#Breshad Perriman’s ankle injury leaves Jets’ skill group barren

Wide receiver Breshad Perriman left Sunday’s loss to the 49ers with a sprained ankle and could “miss a game or possibly two” because of it, Adam Gase said Monday. It’s just the latest blow to the Jets’ skill position group, which is already without running back Le’Veon Bell and receivers Jamison Crowder and Denzel Mims due to injuries.

Gase said it was too early to tell whether Crowder might be available Sunday against the Colts.

Center Connor McGovern also has a hamstring strain and is week-to-week. Gase said he thinks McGovern will be fighting to see if he can play this week, but they need to have confidence he could make it the whole game. If he is unable to go, he would likely be replaced in the starting lineup by Josh Andrews, who subbed in for him Sunday.

Elsewhere on the injury front, cornerback Quincy Wilson is in the concussion protocol and cornerback Arthur Maulet has a groin strain.
