#Ya Boy Kongming! Drama Reveals Eiko Actor
The Twitter account for the Ya Boy Kongming! manga’s live-action drama adaptation has announced that Moka Kamishiraishi is playing the role of main heroine Eiko Tsukimi.
Two preview images of Kamishiraishi as Eiko, one by herself and one with Osamu Mukai‘s Zhuge Kongming, were released as well.
The Ya Boy Kongming! manga written by Yuuto Yotsuba and drawn by Ryou Ogawa began serialization in 2019 and has 13 tankoubon volumes as of April 2023. The manga was first serialized in Kodansha’s Comic Days app/website before being moved to Weekly Young Magazine. It is published under the Young Magazine Comics label.
Kodansha USA describes the plot as:
General of the Three Kingdoms, Kongming had struggled his whole life, facing countless battles that made him into the accomplished strategist he was. So on his deathbed, he wished only to be reborn into a peaceful world…and was sent straight to modern-day party-central, Tokyo! Can even a brilliant strategist like Kongming adapt to the wild beats and even wilder party people?!
A TV anime adaptation of Ya Boy Kongming! aired from April to June 2022. The show was produced by P.A.WORKS and directed by Osamu Honma (The Aquatope on White Sand episode director).
