#Aldnoah.Zero Receives Theatrical Compilation with Episode 24.5 on February 28
A theatrical compilation of the Aldnoah.Zero anime series, titled Aldnoah.Zero (Re+), will receive a limited-time screening in Japanese theaters on February 28, 2025. The compilation will recap moments from the original TV anime series and also include the new episode 24.5 “Fragments of Rain -The Penultimate Truth-” episode.
A short announcement commercial video was also released, previewing scenes from episode 24.5, which was confirmed to be included in a Blu-ray box set release of Aldnoah.Zero on March 26, 2025.
Aldnoah.Zero‘s first cour aired during the Summer 2014 anime season, while the second cour arrived during the Winter 2015 anime season.
The original mecha anime series was directed by Ei Aoki (Overtake!, ID Invaded) with Gen Urobuchi (Fate/Zero author, Puella Magi Madoka Magica series screenwriter) as story draft writer and Takako Shimura (Aoi Hana mangaka) as character draft designer. A-1 Pictures and Troyca handled the animation production together.
The production staff also includes Katsuhiko Takayama (The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash) as series screenwriter, Masako Matsumoto (Overtake!) as character designer, I-IV and Kenji Teraoka (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury co-mechanical designer) as mechanical designers, Takahashi Hashimoto (Blue Gender design works, Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture co-main animator) as mechanical and effects animator, and Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan) as music composer.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast stars Natsuki Hanae as Inaho Kaizuka, Kensho Ono as Slaine Troyard, and Sora Amamiya as Asseylum Vers Allusia.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming Aldnoah.Zero worldwide, and describes the main premise as:
Humanity has clearly split into two and currently there is no way these groups will once again unite. Humanity celebrates this transient time of peace as they slowly dismiss from their minds the scars their ancestors bore in the past. No one realized that with one little push their world can fall to its destruction.
