#Kick: To Cover the $25 Fee for Contract Termination | How to join?

Kick is a streaming platform allowing streamers to stream anything, including gaming and esports. Kick is an arch-rival to one of the biggest streaming platforms, Twitch. Even though Kick hasn’t been around that long, the number of streamers joining their platform is impressive. Aside from the generous benefits Kick offers its streamers and creators, Twitch has a massive role to play in it. Right now, Kick and Twitch are the talks of the town because of the new Twitch agreement. Let’s dive into this controversy and find out what it is, how Kick will cover the $25 fee for Twitch contract termination, and how you can join Kick to avail of this offer.

Kick offers to cover a $25 fee for contract termination

Earlier, we posted an article covering the new termination clauses added by Twitch on June 6th, 2023. Since their release, these new Twitch agreements have caused chaos in the streaming community. While the chaos is about a lot of clauses in the new Twitch agreement, there is a specific one which Kick is using to its advantage to invite streamers to its platform. The clause states the following:

“If you or we terminate this Agreement, a maintenance fee will be deducted from your remaining balance. The maintenance fee will be less than the accrued Program Fees for your Twitch Channel or $25. Any remaining balance after the deduction of the maintenance fee will be paid to you.”

Kick has come to rescue the users from the Twitch money-making agreement and has promised to cover this $25 cost on termination of the contract with Twitch.

  • The only catch is that streamers need to join Kick.
  • To be honest, Kick does provide a more user-friendly streaming agreement than other platforms.
  • Kick also benefits from it as Twitch has been constantly known to ban streamers for unfair reasons, and they tend to move to Kick as an alternative.

How to join Kick?

Joining Kick is a straightforward process, and all you would need to do is follow these steps:

  • Head to kick.com.
  • In the upper right corner of the screen, you will see a “Sign up” option next to “Log in.” Click on it.
  • Fill in all your details.
  • After you have created an account, verify it by the link sent to your e-mail address.

How to avail of this $25 offer on Kick?

No official statement by Kick has been made on how to join this offer. In our opinion, you would need to do the following:

  • Follow the steps above and create a Kick account.
  • After you terminate your contract with Twitch, you must send a screenshot as proof to Kick’s official mail support. Furthermore, we expect Kick to reimburse this amount after you show them a receipt of the deduction.

Note: This is speculation as no official method has yet been announced by Kick. We will update this post once we receive more information about it.
