Since he likes her, he eventually approaches her and finds that she is very kind and intelligent. Yūki then wants to befriend her. However, Kaori rejects him for the time being.

At the end of the week, she explains the reason for this to him: Every weekend she forgets all memories of her friends. Accordingly, she does not want to come into close contact with anyone and avoids her classmates. But Yūki wants to help her and from then on tries again every week to convince her of the friendship. He encourages her to write a diary so that she can at least read about her experiences with him. Little by little, Yūki succeeds in making Kaori remember him partially. Then he inaugurates his friend Shōgo Kiryū, who initially has little enthusiasm for the new friendship with Kaori. But even the adventures and experiences of three can help Kaori more and more.
