Poppy Playtime is a pay-to-play horror adventure game from MOB Games. A spooky action title, it was released on the 12th of October, making it in time for the Halloween season. Players are tasked with surviving in an abandoned toy factory that is overrun by killer toys. Only the first chapter of the game, “A Tight Squeeze” has been released.

“You must stay alive in this horror/puzzle adventure. Try to survive the vengeful toys waiting for you in the abandoned toy factory. Use your GrabPack to hack electrical circuits or nab anything from afar. Explore the mysterious facility… and don’t get caught.”

The players will have a first-person view, with their GrabPack visible and ready to use. The device is a wearable backpack that comes with an artificial hand that is attached by a steel wire and is extendable. It can be used to reach objects far away and to grab things, and the steel wire can also conduct electricity.

Fans are already loving this creepy game, exploring the factory, and trying to survive without being killed by the toys. The game has been so well received that fans are already talking about the release of the second chapter. It might remind some of the toys in horror movies such as Annabelle or Chucky.

GameRevolution has speculated that the release might be in March 2022. This is based on the fact that Poppy Playtime’s Chapter 1 was released 5 months after its official reveal, and that the next release might correspond to the same time interval. However, this is merely speculation, and we do not know what MOB Games are planning.

Though MOB Games has not said anything about the release dates, they have revealed how the next chapter will work for the game. It will be available as downloadable content for Poppy Playtime, similar to an add-on or DLC for the existing game. It has also been said that the new chapter will be available for just $5.
