Authorities searching the home of a corrupt former Mexico City police chief were shocked by the fugitive cop’s luxurious lifestyle —  including a garage packed with dozens of vintage cars and even a boat, according to reports.

Raymundo Collins, who is on Interpol’s wanted list, had 41 classic cars in all, along with three watercraft, a motorcycle, an ATV and several valuable pieces of art at his mansion in Tequesquitengo, Mexico News Daily reported Saturday.

Collins held various posts in the Mexico City government, including as deputy police chief when President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador served as the city’s mayor, and as head of the city’s housing program during the controversial mayoral tenure of Miguel Angel Mancera, according to the Spanish-language newspaper El Universal, which published the original report.

Collins then headed the capital city’s police force until December 2018, when a change in administration forced him out.

Current Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum announced in January this year that an arrest warrant had been issued for Collins for allegedly diverting government funds to line his pockets, Mexico’s El Diario newspaper reported at the time.

Police said the cars and the other luxury items found in Collin’s home have been confiscated.
