#The Final Season To Stream Via iQiYi in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao

iQiYi will stream Attack on Titan: The Final Season for free in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, Muse SG’s Facebook page revealed.

According to the post, the series will premiere on the streaming service on December 7 (a Thursday), with new episodes being uploaded every Monday. Chinese, English, Thai, and Vietnamese subtitles will be available at 8am while Indonesian and Malay subtitles will be available later at 11am, with the time zones presumably being GMT+8 (I’ve messaged Muse SG and will update if necessary).

Muse SG’s announcement means that Southeast Asian viewers will have yet another platform choice when it comes to watching Attack on Titan: The Final Season. Aniplus Asia previously announced that it would broadcast the series from December 7, while Netflix will begin streaming the show from December 10 and 11 in Indonesia and the Philippines respectively.

The final season of the dark action anime series based on Hajime Isayama’s manga is arriving over a year after the last episode of Season 3 Part 2, with MAPPA handling animation production instead of the previous seasons’ Wit Studio. The staff includes Jun Shishido as chief director (Death Parade), Yuichiro Hayashi (Dorohedoro, Kakegurui) as director, Hiroshi Seko (Mob Psycho 100) as series composer, Hiroyuki Sawano (Kingdom Season 3, Attack on Titan series) and Kohta Yamamoto (Kingdom Season 3) as music composers, Tomohiro Kishi (Dorohedoro, My Little Monster) as character designer, and Kazuo Ogura (Zombieland Saga) as art director.

A synopsis for Attack on Titan: The Final Season has not been provided, but the trailer and promotional images have shown off new looks for many of its returning characters that suggest a time-skip. Some new Titan forms were also revealed.

Netflix Philippines describes the series as:

For the past 100 years, humanity has lived within giant walls to protect itself from the Titans, giant lumbering beasts with a taste for human flesh. When the Titans suddenly smash through the wall, it forever changes the destinies of Eren, Mikasa and Armin, three childhood friends who sign up to try to defeat the Titans once and for all.
