The 27 year old Arata Kaizaki is a NEET, single and now his parents are turning the money off. One evening he happened to meet a man who offered him mysterious rejuvenation pills, not only turning him into a 17-year-old, but also giving him the chance to repeat a part of his life again and, above all, to find out what went wrong in his life. He visits high school again, where he meets the silent outsider Chizuru Hishiro, among others. However, he only has one year to find out what is wrong with him and to lead a happy life …

«ReLIFE» asks an interesting question with the plot: If I were allowed to go 10 years into the past and experience a whole year again, what would I change? This is exactly what the main character Kaizaki experiences with the ReLIFE. The focus of the story is limited to three to four episodes, the rest is more or less mainly about the relationship between the characters. They did a good job here because the comedy between the protagonists works.
The soundtrack sometimes came with special tones, but overall it always suited the situation. What is special is that “ReLIFE” has a different ending in each episode.
As a slice of life anime with a school setting, “ReLIFE” does not offer any particular depth, but is therefore particularly suitable as an anime for relaxing on the couch after work or on Sunday afternoons. The German synchro is solid in my ears and you can definitely do it. Of course, if you want, you can also fall back on the successful Japanese setting.
