#Twitter puts suspension on Marjorie Taylor Greene’s account

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been temporarily restricted from using her Twitter account on Friday — as Democrats move to boot her from Congress.

The GOP congresswoman‘s 12-hour suspension came at 1 a.m. Friday for allegedly violating Twitter rules, her office confirmed hours later, amid a motion signed by 73 House Democrats to expel Greene from Congress.

A screenshot from Greene’s Twitter account says “we’ve temporarily limited some of your account features” and notes that she could still browse Twitter but was barred from tweeting, retweeting or liking posts.

Greene’s office blasted Twitter over the temporary suspension, saying the account was censored “without any information from Twitter on the alleged ‘violation.’”

“This move eliminated any possibility for Congresswoman Greene to defend her reputation, her seat, and most importantly the votes of 230,000 Georgians in the 14th District on the Twitter platform,” it said. “This is yet another attempt by the Silicon Valley Cartel to silence voices that speak out against their far-left woke orthodoxy.”

Greene has more than 380,000 followers on Twitter.

It is unclear what the offending tweet in question is.

Twitter didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
