T.I. was a force to be reckoned with in the early ’00s. The Atlanta legend sold multi-platinum albums, went No. 1 on the Billboard 200 three different times and has a trio of Grammy Awards on his shelf. When he called himself the King of the South, it was hard to argue his claim with all his accomplishments.

These days, T.I. still thinks the title for the King of the South is still his, and he made it loud and clear in an Instagram post on Wednesday (August 11). In his post, T.I. shared a quote that said, “You can’t compete with the person you stealin yo style from.”

Without naming any names T.I., took the conversation to his caption with a message for his “minions” trying to be like him.

“Message to all my minions,” he wrote. “1st. Don’t forget who taught you it was OK to be KING 2nd. Replicas can NEVER replace REAL…But go off tho 3. If we being honest… Y’all can’t even fux wit a picture of me End of msg…”

Although he claims he’s still the King, T.I. still gets in trouble like the rest of us. Last week, T.I. was arrested in Amsterdam for breaking a cop’s side mirror while using his phone biking around town.

“So I’m locked up now,” he said in an Instagram Live video uploaded by TMZ. “I’m obviously not supposed to have my phone as I’m biking and because the policeman ran into me and broke his side mirror…and I didn’t have my passport on me. I don’t know. It’ll be fine. He was extremely upset. I, myself, was out having a great time. I’m still not upset. They arrested me and didn’t even put me in handcuffs. They just opened the door and invited me to the backseat. I obliged.”

He added, “Let me see how I can make my bond real quick ’cause they don’t take cash. I got cash in my pocket, but they don’t seem to take this [laughs]. I ain’t no handcuffs put on me yet. They ain’t search me yet. We working on the buddy system out here and I like it.”

T.I. ended being set free and explained that he didn’t know the person yelling at him to stop was a police officer.

“He was in a white van,” he said. “I didn’t know he was police. He looked like a furniture delivery …. I didn’t know he was. So then he pulled and I kept going, kept pushing like he wasn’t talking to me because I didn’t know what he was saying.”
