#SZA shares “The Anonymous Ones” music video

Until recently, the only things I knew about Dear Evan Hansen were that it’s a film adaptation of a musical, and the male lead is supposed to be a teenager but really does not look like one. All that changed a couple of weeks ago when SZA shared a brand new song called “The Anonymous Ones” created for the film’s soundtrack. Sonically speaking, the song returns to SZA’s psych-folk-soul sound, while its themes are basically SZA’s take on “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M. The track’s music video, directed by Colin Tilley, continues that vibe. SZA plays a lonely busker who is all by herself in a city filled with people and ads for a certain movie musical. Watch it above
