Following the ED theme “Missing Promise” by Konomi Suzuki, anison singer AYANE has posted a short version music video for “Analogy,” the OP theme song for the summer 2021 TV anime Higurashi: When They Cry -SOTSU.

AYANE has performed the theme songs for the Higurashi franchise since 2007, starting with her fifth single song “Nageki no Mori,” which was used as the OP theme song for the PS2 game Higurashi: When They Cry –Matsuri. She recently performed the two ED theme songs for the previous TV anime Higurashi: When They Cry – Gou, “Kamisama no Syndrome” and “Fukisokusei Entropy.”

“Analogy” will be included in her new album “Analogy ~AYANE HIGURASHI Song Collection~” to be released in Japan on July 28. Using the dark space and a tropical fish in a small aquarium, the music video for the song is linked to the desire to fight against the world that repeats the same events at the same time in the same place, which has been depicted in the Higurashi franchise.
